Signature Programs
The Business & Professional Women of Tennessee have two signature programs to promote women and enhance their speaking skills. The Individual Development Program and the Young Careerist Program were developed in the 60s to meet the needs of women of that time and have evolved over the years. They enable participants to improve their skills…not only in speaking; but in the areas of communication, networking, interviewing, presentation skills, leadership, and more. Each program culminates in a ‘speak-off’ with the winner moving on to another level of completion which could carry them to the state level and the state conference.
Individual Development Program
The Individual Development Program, which began in the late 1960’s, was developed to provide our officers and future leaders with public speaking and presentation skills along with workplace and life skills. The program was an intensive course of study and practice sessions. It has evolved today into a multiy module program that takes approximately 16-17 hours of training.
